Site Supervisor – New Home Construction

Maison Design+Build is an award-winning, boutique home builder specializing in delivering design-driven homes to the Saskatoon market. Maison Design+Build is currently looking for an enthusiastic person to join their talented team. This is a full-time, permanent, position based in their Saskatoon office.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a safe worksite
• Follow and implement safety policies and procedures for trades on all job sites 
• Complete weekly ToolBox talks 
• Write detailed field notes into Buildertrend covering the following:
  • Site conditions
  • What trades and suppliers have been to site
  • Phone calls made to suppliers and trades to follow up on status and quality issues
  • Inspections that have happened and follow ups
    * Inspect work during and after for conformance to the specification and drawings
• Quality Control Inspections of completed work on site
• Call for inspections: Foundation, Framing, After Vapour Barrier, Final
• Arrange for site services and mark out locations of utilities
• Site clean-up, including sweeping, cardboard recycling and waste removal
• Install backing for interior accessories and exterior services (power, gas ect.)
• Build temporary sidewalks and landings for garage
• Install construction locks, locate key for trades and manage site security
• Anything else deemed required to deliver a high quality product to the customer

Hours of Work: 

• Approximately 40 – 45 hours per week

Wage / Salary:

• Based on experience

Qualifications and Work Experience:

• 7+ years experience leading sites in residential construction
• 5+ years experience as a Journeyman Carpenter (or other trade)
• High School Diploma

• Provide leadership to the on-site staff while maintaining a positive and respectful work environment
• A positive work attitude, and a team player
• Fast thinking, clever, and able to make quick decisions 
• Ability to work safely and follow safe work policies and procedures
• Great interpersonal skills
• Detail and quality oriented
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Email, Internet)
• Ability to work well while under pressure
• Experience using Buildertrend and SiteDocs is considered an asset 

Required license or certification:

• Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 drivers license
